Presentation of works by Fatima Bremmer, author and Anna Hylander, film director. They have together contributed to the rediscover of Ester Blenda Nordström.

ESTER BLENDA NORDSTRÖM (1891-1948) was Sweden’s first investigative journalist. At the age of 23 she went undercover as a maid and wrote a series of articles and a book about the hard life at a farm. The groundbreaking report would change Swedish journalism forever as well as the working conditions for maids. After that Nordström moved on, she lived for six months with the Sami in the Swedish arctic, and she saved entire villages from starvation during the Finnish civil war. She travelled as a third class passenger together with poor emigrants to America and she partook in a several year long expedition to dangerous volcanic territories in Siberia, all her travels became personal and fascinating articles and books. But one secret she never told anyone, her life long love for Carin in Stockholm.
